I was quite worried at first, after getting a phone call from Jenny’s mom who had informed me that Jenny was ill and that the wedding date had to be rescheduled. But Jenny was strong and determined - - to get married. Two weeks later, we’re on. Looking at her on her wedding day, how happy she was - I knew it had something to do with her quick recovery.

The wedding ceremony was held at the Presbyterian Church in Herrin, IL. It was followed by a reception at the Old Firehouse Event Center in West Frankfort. The whole event was filled with great folks, really funny characters (the groomsmen), and great atmosphere. Chris and Jenny - - Congratulations! I has happy to be a part of your special day - Thank you!

Josh and Samantha [Wedding]

Beautiful wedding at Von Jakob Winery in Alto Pass, IL. Josh and Sam are probably one of the most relaxed bride and groom I’ve ever met. And I wanted to showcase that relaxed attitude with the following images below.

Marcus and Vanessa [Wedding]

Marcus and Vanessa were married August 7 at the First United Methodist Church in Carbondale, followed by a reception at the Murphysboro Event Center. I’ve enjoyed observing and documenting the whole day as it had unfold; from families and friends as they prepare for the moment where Vanessa and Marcus became husband and wife; the note Vanessa wrote for Marcus as he waited downstairs; reminds me why I enjoy photographing weddings.

Justin and Abby [Wedding]

Or the longer version title that I like much better - “Tattoos, cars, rock and roll, and a wedding.” Regardless of what you would call this special day, Justin and Abby had plenty of little surprises throughout the day. From the way they signified their love for each other with tattoos to the taste in music they share - by hiring Wayne Hancock to play at their reception. It’s a fun filled day with tears, laughter and lots of dancing.

The ceremony was held at Bleyer Lake in Carbondale, then they were whisked away in a ‘55 Mercury to the Murphysboro Event Center.

Daredevil Action - the new album

Finally it’s here - the new Skinny Jim and the Number 9 Blacktops album. I finally got a chance to listen to the whole thing and I must say, it simply rocks! David and Holly [Wedding]

David and Holly were married in Christopher, IL at Holly’s parents’ home. They were kind enough to invite my whole family to celebrate their special day. Despite the heat and humidity everyone enjoyed themselves and the girls came home filled with delicious cake and glow sticks.
